BIOGRAPHY:
91 Suite was established as a band at the end of 1998 in Murcia (Spain) with the aim of offering a new AOR sound into the world scene. It all started when a group of Aor lovers musicians decided to join a band. They realized that they shared the same musical background so the idea of a common project was inminent. There first attempt into a recording studio was back in 1998 when they recorded some tracks containing tittles such as Down to You and Chances. From that moment on, they started playing concerts around the Spanish geography. Their next step was when they went into the studio to record some more demos such as The Day She Left, I Will Stand By You and others. By May 2000 they sent some soundbytes to www.vinnyrecords.com and Vicente, the man in charge of this label got back to us with good feedback about the demos. Vinny Records proposed us a record deal and we soon went into a studio to record what it´s going to be their first album called 91 Suite. The record was recorded from November to January. It would have taken so long to find the sound that they had in mind but with Mark Mangold´s involved in the project was an easy task. He did the mixing and post-production work in NYC with the collaboration of his friend Al Fritsch with the background vocals. Mark also played some keyboards and provided the album with some wonderfull arrangements. On April, 91 suite played at the Nemelrock with great bands like Elyte, Rafa Martín, Adriangale, House of Shakira, Dare and Harem Scarem receiving very good reviews. The band recently signed a deal for 4 cds in Japan territory with Marquee-Avalon and also they will play in the Gods 2001 Festival in Wigan, England.
